A core tradition of the Sickbird trip is the daily Sickbird Award, given to the trip participant who did the awesomest thing that day. Anything is fair game.  Nominations traditionally occur over dinner, with voting thereafter.  Notable this tradition was 100% stolen from and has no relation to the Freeski World Tour Backcountry.com Sickbird Award. 

 

2018 Sickbirds @ Chatter Creek

1. Jon Makens: 360 rewind windlip stomped w/broken collar bone.

2. Rob Webb: Vertigo peak vag diving board launch on new stance.

3. Peter Light: Vertigo peak shred & cliff drop on tellys.

4. David Benedek: Body of work (spins, slashes, pillow lines, backflip). 

 

2017 Sickbirds @ Chatter Creek ​​

1. Tim Collins: Dropping the largest lines of the day while smoking butts.

2. Matt Sterbenz: Stomping large double stage cliff drop, shredding all day.

3. Ben Pruess: Stomping the spirit animal gap and a monster triple pillow.
